What we keep, for how long, and who can see it.
Written for contractors who work with us and for the homeowners who call, text, or send a quote request through a website we built. Last updated 2026-10-09.
If you are a homeowner who contacted a contractor
Each contractor's website has its own privacy notice at /privacy/, and that notice governs. In short: the contractor collects what you send through the quote form, the number you called from, whether the call was answered, a voicemail if you leave one (up to 90 seconds), and texts exchanged with the business line. Voicemail recordings are deleted after 90 days; everything else two years after the contractor last heard from you. We run the service that stores it on the contractor's behalf and do not use it for anything else. To correct or delete your information, contact the contractor; their notice says how.
If you are a contractor, or thinking about becoming a client
The kickoff sheet. What you type: your business details, services, towns, story, photos, logo, licence numbers, and, if you want the business line, your legal business name, EIN, and registered address. Those three go to the carrier registry that every business must be registered in before it can send texts, and nowhere else. The sheet saves a draft in your own browser for a week so you can come back to it; the draft never holds the legal name, EIN, or registered address, and nothing in it leaves your browser until you press Send.
The inquiry form and "text me this link". Your name, phone, trade, and town, and the message you typed. We use them to reply, to build your draft site, and to send the one link you asked for. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
While you are a client. The service holds your leads, customers, call and text history, reports, work log, website files, and site settings. All of it is on your dashboard to download any day, as our ownership guarantee describes.
Who sees it
- The two of us who run the agency.
- The providers that run the service: our hosting (Railway for the service, Cloudflare for websites), Twilio for calls and texts, and Google for review counts and profile posts. Each receives only what its job needs.
- Software you connect to your own account, which receives your leads under its own terms.
We do not sell information and we do not add anyone to marketing lists.
How long we keep it
- Voicemail recordings: 90 days.
- Calls, texts, leads, customer records, photos, and kickoff sheets: two years after the last contact.
- When you leave: your records are deleted 30 days after your last day. The date is on your work log, and your dashboard and both downloads stay open until then. Tell us you have your copy and we delete sooner; ask for more time and you get it.
- Prospects we never end up working with: your details are deleted within a year of our last conversation.
Your choices
Ask us to correct or delete anything we hold about you at any time: reply to any text or email from us, or use the contact details below. Deleting a client's records before their last day ends the dashboard, the reports, and the business line's history, so we confirm in writing first.
